Lindsay Lohan Confirmed for Role in 'Gotti' Film

It's (finally) official: Lindsay Lohan will appear in the upcoming 'Gotti: Three Generations' movie. After days of conflicting reports, UsMagazine.com confirmed on Wednesday that the actress will
play mafia man John Gotti Jr.'s wife, Kim Gotti, in a two-movie deal. In addition to 'Gotti,' Lohan will also appear in 'Mob Story.'

"We're very pleased to have Lindsay on-board for both of these films," executive producer Marc Fiore said in a statement to UsMagazine. "She has been very enthusiastic about the Gotti project, and after resuming discussions with her, we were impressed by her commitment to the film and felt she would be a perfect Kim Gotti."

Lohan was previously in discussions to play Victoria Gotti, but talks eventually broke down between her management team and the producers. Fiore even announced earlier in the day that negotiations with Lohan had ended and she would not be appearing in the film.

But Lohan patched things up and officially joined the cast. "I'm really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do," Lohan told the Associated Press. "I think it's such an iconic story. I'm honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci."

Lindsay Lohan Eying Two Movie Deals

As Lindsay Lohan awaits trial on a felony theft charge, she has something positive to look forward to in the near future: two possible movie deals.

According to RadarOnline.com, Hollywood producer Marc Fiore has Lohan in mind for two upcoming movies, one of which is the much-rumored 'Gotti' biopic.

"I want Lindsay to be in 'Gotti' and another movie that I'm producing," said Fiore, who serves as executive producer for 'Gotti: Three Generations.' "She's a great, great actress."

Lohan seems very interested in the role of Victoria Gotti, and even showed up to pose with the real mob daughter at a press event earlier this month.

The second role Fiore would like to see Lohan in is 'Mob Street,' a Wall Street-centered mafia flick written by 'The Usual Suspects' star Chazz Palminteri.

Though the actress has become known more for her legal escapades than her acting, Fiore said he's only seen the responsible side of Lohan in his dealings with her.

"She's been very professional with me," he said. "People make mistakes. Look at so many other people in Hollywood."

Lohan's first preliminary hearing in her theft case is scheduled for April 22, but according to Radar, the actress is trying to get the hearing postponed in order to observe the Good Friday holiday.

Lindsay Lohan in Talks to Play Victoria Gotti

Lindsay Lohan's association with crime isn't quite over yet.
The troubled star is in "final talks" to play Victoria Gotti in 'Gotti: Three Generations,' the
upcoming biopic about Victoria's mafioso father, John, TMZ reports.

If finalized, Lohan would join John Travolta, who has signed on to play John Gotti. Rumors have also been swirling that Kim Kardashian recently met with executive producers to discuss playing John's daughter-in-law, Kim Gotti.

With a budget of $75 million, producer Marc Fiore has said the film is "going to be the new 'Godfather.'" Reports say more casting details about 'Gotti: Three Generations' will be revealed in a news conference in New York City on April 12.

If cast, 'Gotti' would be Lohan's first role since completing a rehab stint at the Betty Ford Center.

Most recently, the actress was reportedly set to audition for a role in the new 'Superman' movie. However, filming for 'Superman' is scheduled to begin in this August, making it difficult for Lohan to ensure her availability.

Her trial on charges of grand theft begins later this month, and if convicted, she may be spending the summer behind bars.

"If Lindsay is found guilty of grand theft, she would inevitably be serving jail time, which almost certainly would coincide with the production schedule," said a source close to the film.

Lindsay Lohan’s Changing Her Name to Just (Lindsay)

When you hear the name Lindsay, is there one person that comes to mind? Well, Lindsay Lohan thinks it’s her, so she’s decided to officially drop the “Lohan” from her name.

“Lindsay is dropping the Lohan and just going by Lindsay,” Lindsay’s mother Dina Lohan told PopEater. “Plus, me and [younger daughter] Ali will be officially changing our last names back to my maiden name, Sullivan.”

According to PopEater, Lindsay decided that after the “milkaholic Lindsay” comment from the Super Bowl E-trade ad was made she was well-enough known by just “Lindsay.”

“So many of the greatest people in showbiz are known by just their first name. Look at Oprah and Beyonce. Now you can add Lindsay to that list,” a family friend explained to PopEater. “And it’s a way for them all to start over. No one in the family want anything to do with Lindsay’s father [Michael Lohan] anymore and that includes sharing a last name.”

Lindsay Lohan Gets More Time to Decide

Lindsay Lohan all but rejected a plea agreement on Thursday that prosecutors promised would include jail, but Judge Keith Schwartz decided to give the troubled actress another two weeks to
reconsider before officially sending her to another judge and a new trial for felony grand theft.

"If you and your counsel do not accept the plea deal, then you do not have to return to this court," Judge Schwartz told Lohan during the brief hearing. If she rejects the prosecutors on March 25, then a preliminary hearing will take place on April 22 with Judge Stephanie Sautner at the helm.

The exact terms of the plea deal were not disclosed, but Lohan was on probation in January when a Venice jewelry store accused her of taking a $2,500 necklace. She pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Judge Schwartz made it clear during their last meeting, on Feb. 23, that "this case does involve jail time" if she pleads guilty. But on Wednesday, RadarOnline.com reported that Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, was insisting on a plea deal with no jail time.

The judge said he would sentence her to a minimum of 60 days, but likely no longer than 90 days. He "encouraged Holly to discuss what not taking the plea deal will mean for her."

Lohan was officially charged during a hearing on Feb. 9. After pleading not guilty, Judge Schwartz lanced into the actress for not taking the charges seriously. "If you violate the law again, I will remand you with no bail," he told her. "Things will be different."

If this goes to trial and she is convicted, Lohan could be sent to a California state prison with a maximum sentence of three years behind bars.

The actress, who remains on probation in a 2007 drunken driving case, is accused of taking a necklace from Kamofie & Co. of Venice Beach, Calif., on Jan. 22, roughly three weeks after the actress was released from three months of court-ordered rehab at the Betty Ford Center.

A police report was filed the day of the incident, and authorities reportedly waited until she was photographed wearing the necklace before deciding to pursue charges. A friend of the actress turned the necklace in to the Pacific Division of the LAPD on Feb. 2.

Lohan's lawyer has denied the charges, and the actress claims that the necklace was loaned to her -- and that, unbeknownst to LiLo, her stylist simply forgot to return it in time. The star's dad, Michael Lohan, told PopEater at the time that the entire incident was as a "ridiculous" misunderstanding
